Welcome to the Privilege Authority Community

PrivilegeAuthority is a product from ScriptLogic that allows administrators to elevate privileges for specific programs, windows features or ActiveX controls, without running every user as an administrator.

Privilege Authority provides a powerful, flexible way to tighten overall security on a workstation, without preventing people from doing their jobs. It is available from scriptlogic.com and other popular download sites as a Professional edition and a free community edition.

Professional edition includes additional security capabilities and technical support from ScriptLogic. This community is for all Privilege Authority users to collaborate, brainstorm new elevation rules, share rules with other users, and provide bug reports and enhancement requests back to ScriptLogic.

It would be useful for us if there was an option to require something like how SuRun works where we can grant users permissions to elevate programs as shown here, but where they don't run elevated just by double clicking, but where the user has to right click -> elevate (or some choice) and then they enter their login password to validate.

It also would be a nice option along with that where we could allow a user the ability to request elevation of any process and we could allow or disable that, but again where it would be logged etc.

I'm sorrt, I didn't get an e-mail or anything to let me know there had been a post (or I lost it).

I'd be happy to talk to you on the phone any business day in the next two weeks except Dec 14th.

Please e-mail/PM me if you still want to do this.

Thanks
