Welcome to the Privilege Authority Community

PrivilegeAuthority is a product from ScriptLogic that allows administrators to elevate privileges for specific programs, windows features or ActiveX controls, without running every user as an administrator.

Privilege Authority provides a powerful, flexible way to tighten overall security on a workstation, without preventing people from doing their jobs. It is available from scriptlogic.com and other popular download sites as a Professional edition and a free community edition.

Professional edition includes additional security capabilities and technical support from ScriptLogic. This community is for all Privilege Authority users to collaborate, brainstorm new elevation rules, share rules with other users, and provide bug reports and enhancement requests back to ScriptLogic.

Hello Mike,

While the rules are displayed on the community web-site (www.privilegeforum.com), they are only downloadable from within product. This is done using the the "Community" left side-bar menu options from within the product.

When you click on the "All Rules" menu option, does the right panel populate with a list of rules?

If not, then you might have some kind of internet connection issue, or might need to modify the PA proxy settings (found in the help menu).

If list does populate, what happens when you press the "import" button?

Hope that helps,
Don

The free version is supposed to display the "community bar", so I am not sure why it is not visible for you.

Here is a screen shot of what you should see in the free version:

What does yours look like?  Is it also missing the items below the community, such as the "Try PA Pro" and the graphic?

Also, what version are you using?
